We meet on the first Saturday of the month at North Kiama Neighbourhood Centre from 10 till 3, March to November.

Our first meeting for this year will Saturday March the 1st.
We have 3 Beginners Worshops planed for the year May 4th,August 3rd and Octuber 2nd.

We have our annual exhibtion planned for June 8 to 10 in Kiama at the Masonic Hall.

BEGINNERS FELTMAKING WORKSHOP 7TH OCTOBER 2023
FELTMAKING 2023 - BEGINNERS WORKSHOP
A Beginners Workshop will be held on Saturday 7th October 2023
Cost is $80.00.
Venue: North Kiama Neighbourhood Centre; 28A Meehan Dr, Kiama Downs. NSW 2533
Time: 10.00am to 2.45pm. Bring lunch and drinks
Bookings essential: Numbers are strictly limited to 6. Payment will secure your place in the class.

This workshop is being run in conjunction with The Illawarra Feltmakers Inc
During this introductory course you will learn how to lay out fleece, the felting process and how to recognise when your felt is fully felted. You will also learn how to incorporate textural materials such as fabric and threads. We will also touch on the use of resists to create a seamless hollow to make an item such as a bag, vessel or hat.
All fleece and textiles will be supplied as well as comprehensive notes to take home along with your finished pieces.
Felt is a versatile textile and is not confined to clothing, accessories or industrial purposes. It has sculptural qualities. Together with your imagination and this introductory course, a new and exciting world awaits.
Should the workshop be cancelled by The Illawarra Feltmakers Inc, full refunds will be made. Otherwise, fees paid are non refundable.
